Several Board members had a meeting with the City Recreation about the 2021 season today. Things that came out of the meeting were the FSSL has to sign a new contract, give a list of protocols that we will have in effect for the season. As of now it looks like 1st of May. The Board will have a meeting to set the date we are to start, the fees, the number of players per team and the imortant dates for tryouts, draft night and other needed items. Stay tune for more inofrmation as it comes forward.
The services for Art (Butch) Brager are taking place Thursday – February 25th at 9:00 AM. They will be held at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. 355 E. Champlain Dr. Fresno. 250 Mas allowed inside the church with family only interment at cemetary following the services. Our prayes go out to his family and friends.
Art was one of the original members of the FSSL which started in 1993. He is the brother of Jim Brager and friend of many.
The field has been reserved for the USA umpire clinic this coming Saturday – March 6th from 9:30 AM to 1:15 PM, so if you plan on practicing do it after or before.
I have just received word that one of the leagues longest players has passed away. Art Brager, (bother to Jim Brager) passed away early this morning after a long illness. Prayers going out to the family after their loss. More information will be coming, so stand by for more information.

Just got off the phone with Roy Nelson and he told me that Gil Sierra has had a miracle due to all the prayers. He has woke up and able to move arms & legs. He is almost over the pheumonia and if he keeps progress as he has over the last few days they are going to give him his phone back. Gil wants to thank all of you for the prayers that were said on his behalf. More updates to come.
