Brenda Forth just announced that the 2022 Fall draft will take place at Mike Kludjian’s home. The address and location is in the locations above. As always the 63’s at at 6 PM, 58’s at 7 PM and the 50’s will begin at 8 PM.
Please remember to keep it quit during the other division draft session, if you want to talk go outside and make all the noise you want. Remember that the longer it takes for one division it delays the next division. Thanking you in advance for your assistance.
Concerning the game clock, the 5 minute rule has been changed. Old rule was if home team comes to bat with less than five (5) minutes on the clock the next inning will be the open inning. This rule was changed to read: When the clock get to five (5) minutes or less the next inning will be the open inning regardless of which team is at bat.
Due to so many players going to major tournaments the board approved the Huntsman Senior Games rule for all major tournaments. The rule reads as follows:
The teams in all division will be allowed to pick up an extra player for a total of four (4) in the 50’s & 58’s and a total of five (5) in the 63’s. If there is no pitcher of record then all divisions will be allowed to pick up a pitcher per the 63’s pickup player rules. All other pickup player rules will apply . Please see playing rule for clarification.
Other rule were submitted but have no answer for the results of the Board. Such as allowing the same courtesy runner to run once again for the same runner in the open innings.
Allowing the lowest seeded pickup to play any position per the handicap rule.
With all of the double & triple checking by several people, an error in judgement was made in the games to be player on Wednesday March 16th. The change made is All American Flooring moves from 830 PM to 7:15 PM and change opponents and now will play Sherian Investments and Fighting Dogs will move to 8:30 PM and play against1st Choice.
Sorry about the mistake, first one in 40 years.
A small, but dedicated handful of FSSL members converged on Quigley Saturday morning to tackle field prep duties. Thanks to the crew, Quigley looks just about ready for the spring season. Art Alvarez spent so much time working on the infield, he was placed on the 10-day disabled list. Kidding aside, thanks again to all that came out.
See the Field Prep 22 album for more evidence.
Art and Judy Alvarez are looking for volunteers for the Facilities Committee. The committee will be responsible for necessary repairs, improvements and playing field prep for Quigley. Contact Judy Alvarez at 559-970-5676 if you are interested in joining them.
