INFORMATION OF 1ST BOARD MEETING
Friday 13, 23023 the first Board meeting of the year took place. All but two members were present and the following took place.
They elected Gerald Chow to be treasurer, Dick Ashjian to be secretary and Tony Diaz as Umpire-in-chief. The following appointments were made: Don Westbrook chairperson for Rules Committee. Brad Wells & Don Westbrook co-chairpersons of the slotting committee.
Discussion took place about entry fees and it was after getting the Treasurer’s report that we operated at a loss of $1,852 that the decision was agreed to be $55 per league this year. We need to increase to cover the cost of Umpires, Scorekeepers, game balls, awards, chalk, printing of profiles, schedules, score sheets, lineup cards, postage to mail out the profiles, portal potty, City fees, mowing of grass, USA team fees, repairs to Bleachers and servicing of the tractor. The league has cost and the above doesn’t include the BBQ.
We have a great chance to make extra money by selling coupon books for $25 each of which the league will make $12.00 on each sale.
It is important that we get some new teams in the league to pay the sponsors fee of $100 per session. In the past the league had to eat the fee and find people to draft and run teams in all of the divisions, so find a sponsor to help the league out.
Some important dates to remember are:
Profiles to be mailed around the 30th of January.
1st tryout will be held on Monday, February 13th at 6:00 pm
2nd tryout will be held on Tuesday, February 21st at 6:00 pm
LAST DATE TO TURN IN PROFILE AND MONEY Friday February 24th.
Draft list to be ready for pickup on Monday February 27th.
Draft night will be on Friday- March 3rd location to be announced
First game will be held on Monday March 6th.

3- Printing of a 30th anniversary book.
