2021 Christmas Party Brings the FSSL Family Back Together

Posted by Fresno Senior Softball League on Dec 04 2021 at 08:57AM PST in 2021 SEASON 2nd HALF

Last night at the Well Church, FSSL again hosted its Annual Christmas Party after a one-year layoff due to the pandemic. A crowd estimated at about 100, enjoyed the fellowship that we all missed last year. We shared good food and a lot of memories last night. A very special acknowledgment to CR Ramirez for recommending and coordinating a commemorative booklet in memory of FSSL players who have passed in recent years. She also created a video and most notably, a symbolic farewell “table”. Job well done CR.

Many thanks also go out to Shirley Wells, who secured the location, and to Brenda Forth who coordinated and herded the cats behind the scenes. Many others contributed to last night’s successful event, and we thank you all. Also, last night was the final meeting/event for outgoing President Brad Wells. Brad had the very difficult task of navigating the league thru a return to play due to unprecedented events. As a volunteer group, this was no easy task. Many thanks to Brad for sticking to the game plan and helping us return to softball. Finally, the gavel has been passed to new incoming President Don Westbrook who will steer the league into the 2022 season, which should see the league return back to more normal operations.

Check out the Albums section below for some pics of last night’s event.

Good health and Merry Christmas to all.
